March 13, 2018 Funny Painter Incidents Told During Dinner Tonight. Chicken/Geese Painting.

"Vermont Supper Time" 6x8 oil on copper.  450$ framed in gold or black with gold.  Shipping included.

I changed hotels from the Smugglers Inn to Deer Run Inn this morning.

The rate was only 50$ a night, I can paint inside my room, and it is all on one level..easy to get inside.

There is a major snow storm going on.  I decided to paint this charming scene I saw in

Waterville, Vermont from my computer monitor.   I stopped to ask permission to visit with his birds.

He laughed when I was down low to the ground taking photos.  He asked me if I wanted

to go inside the gate to visit.  I was perfectly happy just watching from the fence.  The birds were

eating an amazing dinner supplied by a local restaurant of their scrapes.

I ventured out of the hotel during the snow storm for dinner.  At the Smugglers Inn

painters were gathering in the common area telling stories about their day.  TM had arrived

after painting all day long in the snow.  He threw down a painting on a table.  He had his head

back.  Two other painters came over to see his picture.  It was wonderful of course.  You could

see snow in the paint creating an interesting texture.

After dinner funny stories were told.  Here are a few.

A painter was dressed in an all white suit.  He was getting ready to drop off paintings at a prestigious

Academia Springfield annual art show.  He was trying to do something outside of his car.

He fell face down in deep mud.  He tried to stand up but fell backwards into the mud.  When

he tried to stand up, his shoe stuck in the mud, and when he pulled his foot up his shoe came off.

   Another story:

Two guy painters when to a farm to paint.    One bold painter climbed under the cow fence and set up to paint.

The cows were way off into the distance. Time passed.    The guy telling the story said he heard his friend yell out, "Get on!'

He looked over and saw many cows approaching the guy.  The cows were licking his oil paint on the palette.

More cows came in pushing the cows in the center trying to see what was going on.  The painter was

yelling and trying to get away.  He held up his painting, asked his friend to grab it, and managed to squeeze

his way out.  His palette was licked clean.  He worried their milk would be contaminated or the cows would die.

They left in a hurry.

Another story:

A painter was set up at a farm working.  A dog came over to visit with him.  Painter petted the dog.  When he removed

his hand he found white oil paint all over the head of the dog.  The farmer came by and said, "I see you petted my dog".

Another story:

A painter was working in the city on the sidewalk.    He was trying to squeeze a tube of white oil paint.

Nothing came out of the tube.  He kept squeezing harder and harder.  A giant explosion of paint occurred.

White oil paint shot out.  White oil paint hit a lady,  a car, and sign.  The lady's hair and dress were completely covered

with white.

Here is a tiny portion of a huge oil painting done by AT Hibbard.

Good night.
