I really enjoyed visiting and painting at the Gator Park in St. Augustine, Florida. They allow artists to paint there! I painted two smaller works that day on copper with oils. Gators were very active around and below the dock where people were allowed to stand. There were so many birds nesting. In this painting I chose a pretty Great Egret with two chicks. They were pecking at each other. In the back left of the painting there were two Rosette Spoonbills hanging their heads over the nest watching something. There is a Snowy Egret also on the left sitting on her nest. I am amazed at all the warm colors here in Florida. I was always painting blues in Maine. Now I find myself making Browns and Greens in Florida. Framed in gold or black with gold. Shipping and frame choice is included.
