"First Snow" 4x6 oil on copper.    SOLD!

    Announcing a snow painting marathon!
I have been snowed in for two days!  I drank some wonderful
Blue Mountain (Jamaican) coffee this morning.  I loaded up my painting
equipment into my car.  I blew Daisy and Duke a kiss!  I drove
to Lake Alamoosook.

Here I am painting inside of my car parked on the road.  My feet did get cold.  I turned
on the car to warm up twice.  I painted from 10:00 am until 2:30pm today sitting in my
car.  I am using a guerrillapainter.com 5x7 thumbbox.  I was very comfortable!  It was
20 degrees outside today.  What a way to spend a Winter's day.  I am excited about my
snow painting marathon!

This is a photo of my front yard with Daisy and Duke.  I could have painted here.  But
it is nice to go for a ride.

My favorite birch tree at Lake Alamoosook.  The water was a beautiful light blue color.
In fact there are not very many colors in this photo that were present in reality.  This is
the greatest reason to paint outside during the Winter time.

   Let's paint!

I love painting snow scenes. They just don't Appreciate them in Florida.

Hi Marie! Nice to hear from you. I hope you paint snow! I look forward to seeing them on your website? Yeah, too bad Floridians don't seem to admire snow scenes? Maybe they are there to avoid the snow. I like Floridians.

I absolutely LOVE today's snow painting -- I wish I'd found it first

I think you just perfectly captured the colors and shape of the snow on the evergreen (I'm looking at one out my window as I type this), and I love the little brown baby tree beside it

I'll have to check your blog every hour -- it breaks my heart I missed this one :)

You have such an amazing gift for colors
