"Monhegan Museum" 8x10 oil on copper 850$ framed in gold or black with gold. Shipping included.
I painted this one almost all on location one morning. I wanted to capture the glow of the morning
light. Morning light changes much faster than afternoon light but it is more delicate. I kept the grass
dark to allow the building to stand out. This is something the Wyeths did. I worked on the painting
once I returned home.

"Fresh" 6x8 oil on copper 450$ framed in gold or black with gold. Shipping and frame are included.
I had cold brew coffee many mornings on Monhegan Island. I was headed back to my room at the
Seagull Cottage when I stopped and painted this scene. I worked on the whole painting later at home.

"Monhegan's Trailing Yew Inn View" 6x8 oil on copper 450$ framed in gold or black with gold
shipping included.
This one was started early in the morning at the Trailing Yew Inn. I had to repaint most of
it because I just did not get some values right. I like it now. It shows the morning light and the
happiness of the scene I liked. I loved that glowing blue sea.

"Monhegan's Seagull Cottage View Room 4" 6x8 oil on copper Sold. Thanks.
I waited till I return home to paint all those boats and do some roofing work.
Someone suggested to paint this one larger. I think it is always best to figure out how
to make each paintings unique. I can add more of the foreground buildings or paint it during
a different time of the day.

"Monhegan Golds" 6x8 oil on copper 450$ framed in gold or black with gold. Shipping

I added a few more boats and refined the chair.

Here is a plein air painting I did two years ago. The laundry was still being hung but the
house was for sale now for about 850,000$.

Festus has been mad because I left him for 7 days to go to Monhegan. Miss Kitty did not
hold any grudges. She was purring and friendly once I returned home. Festus pouted. He
practically stomped his feet! He ignore me for 5 days. I tried giving him cat treats. I took
a shower using this special Nantucket soap he likes. I let the soap set on my skin for two minutes
before I washed it off just to see if the smell might be stronger. He did notice the Nantucket soap
smell. He forgot the feud for about two minutes deeply inhaling the aroma of the soap! He
was brushing up against me, swirled around, saw me, then remembered, "Oh yeah, you are the
one who deserted me for 7 days!" Then he ran off. Today I turned on the air conditioner. Five
minutes later after temperatures dropped Festus came running over to me, laid on my lap,
purred, rolled around, looked happily into my eyes, to get warm! So that was the way I coax
Festus to be my friend again. I froze him out.
We are getting ready for a Hurricane here in Maine! I have heard the lobstermen are having their
boats pulled from the water. I have seen a mass exodus of campers go by our house on Route 1.
People are buying bottled water. Good night.
